With the release of his second solo effort, the 5 track EP -- "Upstatesman" -- Volatile establishes a new mantel of sorts. Historically, a statesman was the term for the philosophers and creators that drove ideas and culture forward in society. Volatile applies this mentality toward the region, pronouncing that "if you rep the culture and contribute to the forward movement of Upstate NY hip hop, you are by definition an Upstatesman!"
